Despite creating strong passwords, we all get hacked sometimes. Here are some signs that you may have been hacked, and how you can fix it.
Signs you’ve been hacked
The following warning signs are a clear indication that you have been hacked, so you should check the hacked word lists from time to time to protect yourself:
1- Many sites send a confirmation email after changing the password or ask you to confirm using the second-factor authentication feature. Still, if you are notified of a password change without you requesting to change it, you must take quick action to protect your account, because hackers change the password after being able to hack it to take full control of the account.
2- When you see changes to a website or account that you did not make, change the password before the hacker does so that you do not lose control of your account completely.
3- If you find your password on a website specializing in publishing hacked passwords, enter your data to see if you have any hacked accounts.
4- You can check the integrity of your passwords using the leaked password checker tool on your iPhone, Android, Mac, or Windows.
5 If your information appears on lists of compromised passwords in major hacks, these sites often provide tools to check for evidence of data compromise.
6- If someone you know tells you that he received something unusual from one of your accounts or noticed strange behavior from you online, immediately access your account and change the password.
